If it's sunny when it's time for trophy pics, try to face your shadow. This will help make sure your animal isn't over exposed (especially if it has white in it's hide) and you wont be squinting into the sun. Don't forget to take your sunglasses off, too! Trust me, the result is worth it!
When my hard work has paid off and I walk up to an animal in the field, I definitely want to take some pics to share! And, as a taxidermist, I know how important it is to get quality photos for my mount. Here are two quick in-field photo tips to make sure your mount is as true to life as possible.
Photo Tips for the Field
Before you begin to harvest your animal, take a few shots of his full rack from the top, back (at the base of the skull) and front. Then take a few of its full head from the tip of the nose to the tip of the tines. This will help me recreate his unique individual features when I'm working on your mount.

The Legal Stuff
• All specimens must be accompanied by all appropriate licenses, tags, and/or permits at delivery.
• A 50% deposit is required at initial delivery of specimen.
• Fleshing, flipping ears and maximum 4 holes repaired included in price.
• Mounts not collected within 30 days of the completion date will incur a 10% storage fee per month. After three months the mount becomes the property of Mission Taxidermy.
• We are not responsible for hair slippage due to circumstances beyond our control.
• Lifetime guarantee does not cover damage due to conditions beyond our control such as weather, temperature damage, smoke damage, dog chewing, etc.
